1 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES I • and : S Word was received from Julius G. Reeder, racing secretary at North Randall, that the I new barns now tinder construction will be completed by May 19, and horsemen who have been assigned stalls in the barns under construction were advised not to ship to the Cleveland course before that date. Clarence E. Dale has made arrangements for the shipment of the nine horses he has at Douglas Park to Lincoln Fields Wednesday night. Irvine Kort stated that he will send the mare Timorous to the court of Mate in a few days. Ralph Mcllvain, trainer of the Indian Lake Stable, will ship the thoroughbreds under his supervision to Detroit Thursday. Jack Goode will take a division of the J. W. Parrish stable to Lincoln Fields at the close of the Churchill Downs meeting, he announced this morning. Jockey Paul Ryan left for Chicago toi spend a. vacation with relatives pending the opening of the Lincoln Fields meeting, where he will do most of the riding for the stables of Dr. E. F. Bennett and Leo Beyda. Jockey Harold Beasy, now under suspension until the close of the current Churchill Downs meeting, left to report to Homer Pardue, who has several horses at the Detroit Fair Grounds. Ross O. Higdon, acting for Mrs. Higdon, traded the filly Babe Taylor, which he recently purchased from Irvin Kort, to K. S. Cleveland for the three-year-old chestnut colt Dustless. Jockey Willie Lee Johnson will leave Saturday night to report to J. B. Partridge and will remain in the East for the balance of the year. Johnsons contract expires with Mrs. Murphy at the end of the month, but the Evansville sportswoman has given him permission to sign with Partridge.
