SOPHIST took command rounding the far turn and drew away into an easy lead which was retained all through the stretch. BIOGRAPHY saved ground all the way and held on gamely during the final drive. BABY JOE closed a wide gap and came strongly on the outside through the stretch. PAKALA closed resolutely between horses during the run home, finishing stoutly. PLAY SHOOT displayed early speed but tired. PARRISH ROACH had no excuses and tired, as did SPANISH ART.
