i i Scribes Reelect Welch SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 27. The New England Turf Writers Association held their annual meeting Thursday night at the Parker House in Boston and re-elected Eddie Welch as president and Gerry Sullivan as vice president for the coming year. John Aborn was elected to the post of secretary-treasurer which was formerly held by the late Walter Hapgood. During the course of the meeting, it was decided to hold the annual dinner and frolic of the association in the Suffolk Downs clubhouse on August 6. In- addition to the above officers, Avery Brown and Bob Waldo were appointed members of the committee in charge of the dinner and frolic.
