Maple Leaf Stakes Draws List of Thirteen Nominees FAIR GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., May 27. The 5,000 added Maple Leaf Stakes, a six-furlong allowance event for fillies and mares, three-year-old and older, is to have its decision here on Saturday, June 4, and 13 nominations have been received for the sprint. One of a series of important filly and mare fixtures scheduled for decision during the current Motor City season, the Maple Leaf undoubtedly will result in a sharply-contested event. Heading the list of eligibles areBrownell Combs hombred star, Sequence, fashionably-bred daughter of Count Fleet and Miss Dogwood; Dr. Eslie Asburys Brown-ian, Mrs. E. E. Dale Shaffers hard-hitting Miss Mommy, and J. A. Kroecks useful Blue Helen. Others named for the stake are Mrs. J. Cambrons Challorette, Mrs. A. M. Durschs Anns Lee, Carr Hatchs Mazarine, A. R.
