Michigan Notes FAIR GROUNDS, Detroit, Mich., May 27. Moody Jolley returned from New York after accepting the trainer post with the Cain Hoy Stable. Jolley plans to dispose of his present holdings before reporting for his eastern post, with the exceptions of Mrs. Jolley s Mr. Jay and Charlton pClays homebred Carmen, which pair is to be campaigned on the Metropolitan cir.-cuit. Brownell Combs, master of Belair Farm, Lexington, Ky., will be on hand to witness the running of the Frontier Stakes Saturday. Combs is to be represented in the sprint by his crack filly, Sequence, who is conditioned by J. Price Sallee. Jockey Robert Watson, Scotland-born reinsman, arrived from Toronto to accept the mount on Addison Stables Arise in the Frontier Stakes. John Schlesinger checked in from Louisville and registered the plater, Brass Cannon. Two other members of the Schlesinger stable are presently quartered at Douglas Park. John A. Kinard, Brickeys, Ark., planter and owner of a sizable stable here, in charge of Monte Parke, arrived Friday and will remain here to watch his Johns Joy perform in the Frontier Stakes. Henry Forrest shipped Tomos and Hens Boy to Lloyd Gentry in Toronto and the pair is to campaign on the Canadian circuit this season. Forrest also sold Whirl Flower to Frank Fitzgerald at private terms and the two-year-old filly is to race in the Dominion. The Michigan division of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association will hold its annual election for vice-president y and committeemen at the Fair Grounds racing secretarys office on Wednesday, June 1. The polls will be open from 8 a. m. to 4 p. m. and the election will be a written ballot. 4 4 . ... V
