Delaware Notes DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., May 27. Jockey Aubrey Snellings, who will ride Walter M. Jeffords My Rose in the Ran-cocas at Garden State, will swing into action locally on Monday. Assignments for Mondays Brandywine Handicap include jockey Willie "Smokey" Saunders astride Fred Hammers Mar-chons II. Jockeys Benny Civitello and Gus Pappas arrived from Detroit and accepted mounts for tomorrows opening program. The former, who won with six consecutive mounts at Bowie last spring, rode his first winner, Coral Way, here last year on June 11. Therefore, he will lose his five-pound ap prentice allowance on June 10. Pappas, who rode for the Charles Feltner-trained stable at the 1948 Delaware meeting, is now free lancing. Edward Laskers Hedgewood, an allowance winner at Garden State Park on Tuesday when he defeated Colonel Mike, is quartered here for his engagement in the 5,000 Kent Stakes, to be run June 11. Among the jockeys who arrived from Churchill Downs are W. L. Johnson, who will ride for Circle M Ranch, and C. J. Meyer, traveling with the Sam E. Wilson, Jr., stable. King Ranchs Swap Out, who is being pointed for the 5,000 Kent Stakes by trainer Buddy Hirsch, worked six furlongs in 1:14 over a "damp" racing strip. He will be coupled with Hedgewood in the June 11 feature.
