Burch; bred by Brookmeade Stable. WENT TO POST-5:34. OFF AT 5:35 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won handily; second and third driving. WARSHIP, well up from the beginning, went to the outside in the run down the backstretch, circled the leaders to take command rounding the stretch turn and was going away at the end. VACANCE, rated back of the pace for the first half mile, saved ground on the inside and made a serious challenge in the stretch, but was no match for the winner in the final drive. GINARGIE fought stubbornly with ON THE RIVER for the early lead and faltered in the final furlong. CHALDEAN showed a sharp race. BUCEPHALUS had early speed, but appeared outmatched. SKELETON was never a serious factor. ON THE RIVER quit to a walk. Overweight Ginargie, 3 pounds; Called, 3. Bobs Birthday claimed by Kenilworth Farm. Attendance, 11,285; Total Mutuel Pool, ,087,548.
