MEL CAVANO broke alertly, was Lteserved close to the pace for a half, rallied when set down, assumed command and drew clear under urging. InOT TIME rushed boldly on the outside after a quarter, continued very wide on the turn and was bearing out badly. SPEEDEE BOZO, never far off the leaders, failed to make up appreciable ground in the late stages. BARUNA closed well from a slow beginning. AU PHIL drew clear at the start, Saved ground, but shortened stride in the stretch. TASCOSA was unable to keep up. SEA BEES showed a dull effort. The others were outrun. TIGER NIP, reserved close to the pace for a half mile, assumed a short lead when set down, came to the middle of the track, then began tiring and drifted to the inside very close to BLUE RHONDA. The latter was hustled to get to the lead on the final turn, was unable to draw clear while saving ground and was pulled up before the finish. VEILED THREAT was forwardly placed throughout in a good effort ADORABLE BOLO improved position steadily in the late stages. DISPUTANTA passed tiring horses from a slow beginning. ONCE MORE was hard ridden while bullying way through on the inside. CO-PENNANT showed good speed for a half mile. GENTLE KAY raced wide through- I out. STARTLE ME was never prominent. LEFTY JIM assumed command soon after the start, was kept out in the better going, turned back the challenge of BOSS BROKER nearing the furlong pole, then drew out under pressure. BOSS BROKER, forwardly placed between horses, came to the inside for the drive, threatened, then continued on gamely when beaten. MISS MELISS rushed boldly on the outside rounding the final turn, then went evenly in the final furlong. ETERNAL SICKLE had no mishap. WILD CAT was unable to keep up. Jacked a late rally. DIRECTOIRE moved in closest attendance of the pace after a half, then flattened out. SECOND SON went evenly. MAYES RILEY showed speed for five furlongs. DAILY DIP was. outrun. SASSYS KING was caught in close quarters nearing the half-mile pole and was taken up sharply. MR. BUSTER tired badly. The latter was never far off the pace, came to the outside for the drive, but was not good enough. I FORGOT set the early pace, remained with the leader after giving way, then came again near the end, but was in the deep going along the rail. HI LANDING was a forward factor throughout and had no mishap. CRESSANNA raced evenly. BATTLE CLAMP showed nothing. SOPH TUCK was outrun. BEAUTIFUL ANN showed nothing. BURAN was weakly handled.
