GEORGES GIRL, quickest to begin, dropped back, was roused leaving the backstretch and lost much ground on the. extreme outside. GOLDEN MEAN slipped through along the. inside to loom as a threat, then faltered. CUSTODY had no mishap. HI BUNTY lacked a closing rally. MISS GADFLY weakened. PINK GIN, slow to leave the barrier, rushed boldly on the outside, assumed command before reaching the final turn, was under steady pressure to draw out and kept going while shortening stride. YOULL LEARN improved position gradually, saved ground into the stretch, but was unable to reach the leader. WHISKEY JOHN, forced to take up when caught in close quarters soon after the start, came to the outside for the drive and finished willingly. BUSY CARRIER raceawide most of the trip. JAKANOR lacked a closing rally. BAY BLAZE retired steadily after showing brief speed. BULLY BUNTING passed tiring horses. JOE TOWN had no mishap. LADY WILSON flattened out badly. The latter outran the field, raced very wide on the final turn, responded to late urging and appeared much the best. LAZY PAT forced the pace, but weakened in the late stages. SEEMLY went evenly. TEASE ME NOT was unable to keep up. LITTLE FLOSSY was forced to take up sharply when hit soon after the start. GAY LEADER was outrun. COUNT OFF saved ground while entering the stretch, engaged for command, disposed of the leader, but was unable to hqld the winner safe. LADY ALEXANDRA finished with a belated rush on the extreme outside. DOUBLE 0. "saved ground to better late position. PRAIRIE SMOKE was sent up fast on the outside, came between horses in the stretch,, but was unable to menace. BROWNSKIN established the pace until the stretch, then faltered. SPEEDY BABY, quickest to begin, was steadied to the far turn, attempted to go between horses, was pinched back and was unable, to regain lost ground. RAY K. quit. FLAMING BUSH established the pace under steadying restraint, held on stubbornly under repeated challenges, finally weakening near the end. HALORETTE went along close to the pace for a quarter mile, was given a breather and closed willingly at the end. AFTERWARDS lacked a closing rally.
