SNORKEL was well rated while racing down the back side, began improving his position upon reaching the five-furlong pole, closed with determination to wear down the leader in the final furlong. PROUD SIR, far back in the early stages, improved his position rapidly after leaving the furjpng pole and was pressing the winner at the finish. SAM H. moved rapidly after racing well back for the first half mile, assumed a narrow advantage enTeflng the stretch, but gave way in the.final furlong. THEATRE PASS showed a good effort MISS MARGO retired after showing high early speed. SAILING HIGH stopped badly after going a half mile.
