Eight Sprinters Vie in Black Toney!" Little Captain Has Top Impost of 119 ! Lincoln FieldsSemi-Final Feature Also Draws Tordar, Gutty Hunk, Mister Morgan - WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, HI., ; June 14. — The Black Toney Purse, for four-year-olds and upward at seven fur- ; longs, tops Lincoln Fields semi-final pro- J gram tomorrow at Washington Park. Eight ; good sprinters from the older division were -named to start in the feature, including « two fillies, Diamond Lane tind Virtue, who, -with Mrs. Sayde Smiths five-year-old r horse, Wellsab, are the lightweights of the « field with 105 pounds. * Heading the list with 119 pounds is . Emerald Hill Stables Little Captain. That j four-year-old son of Stroking Player- -Stella Elliott, a consistent racer last year and a winner this year in Florida arid Cuba, faces a real job in the Black. Toney Purse. His opponents include Mrs. F. E. Browns recent winner, Tordar, and J. A. Chambers Chilean-bred Mister Morgan. The latter finished a nose in front of Hasty House Farms Inseparable here on June 8, but was disqualified for bearing over and attempting to savage his rival in the stretch run. Tordar has 110 pounds, Mister Morgan, 115. Vanned Here From Keeneland All of these will meet a formidable foe in the seven-year-old gelding, Cutty Hunk. This fellow has been raced sparingly by his. owners, James C. Brady and the veteran horseman, Howard Oots. But he has met and beaten some good horses. He won most of his races at three, did not start again for a year, when he made an overnight van trip to Washington Park from Keeneland, where he has been in training. He will be making his first start of the year in the Black Toney. Reverie Knoll Farms French Admiral completes the field for the Black Toney. French Admiral has raced in high-class company throughout his career. He has beaten some good horses, but on the whole has been a rather hard-luck horse. He has placed three times this year. Of the entire field, Tordar has the most consistent record, having won three races and placed twice in 10 starts. Two other races on Fridays program, which are minus the claiming clause, are the Tred Avon for maiden two-year-old fillies at five furlongs, and the Behave Yourself for three-year-olds at six furlongs. Amour Amour, one of the most highly regarded non-starters on the grounds, will make her racing bow in the Tred Avon. She had been entered in the Miss America Stakes but was withdrawn, presumably because of heavy track conditions. Saturday will be the final day of racing here, and Arlington Park stakes closing on that day are the Warren Wright Memorial Stakes for three-year-olds which will have its first runing June 27; the Hyde Park* Stakes for two-year-olds down for decision June 30, and the Modesty Handicap for fillies and mares, three and [Upwards, also to be run June 30.
