Sportsmans 19 Class Pace jn Two Sections Jimmy Peter and U.N.O. Head Respective Halves in Feature SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, III., June 14. The 19 Class Pace, originally scheduled for ,000, will be raced in two sections FridSy night for a total of ,450 at the Chicago Downs harness meeting at Sportsmans Park. The second division, going as the sixth and ninth races, presents the faster class of horses. U.N.O., a five-year-old bay gelding owned by N, B. Ewing, of Rutledge, Mo., will be after his second victory in as many starts against the eight-horse field. He won easily Tuesday night on the wet track in his Cicero debut. During the 1950 season, the classy pacer posted 29 victories in 37 starts. Gallant Song, four-year-old brown colt who carries the colors of Cloyd D. Shafer, of Lima, Ohio, seems a good dark horse in the feature off his 13 victories in his three-?year-old season. Oscar Silveys Barber B., starting from the pole in the sixth race and the No. 3 hole in the ninth, has early speed to take advantage of-the good draw. Silvey, from Dayton, Ohio, is one of the best pilots at the gate in the business and is usually willing to take chances on the turns if hes in a tight spot. Red Scott will drive Click, another good four-year-old, who didnt have enough to beat TJJi.O. Tuesday night. However, a drier track might tell another story. Other entrants. in the second division of the stake include Earl Siskiyou, veteran from the E:p. Wagner stable; Spud Worthy, Concert Master, and Caramac. Mrs. Virginia Hensons Jimmy Peter looks impressive in the first division line. His toughest competition will probably come from Larry Grattan, owned by K. R. and Dave Ward, of Bloomington, 111. Larry has a record of 2:02% which makes him the best on paper. Jimmy Peters best mark is 2:07%, but it was made on a half-mile track. Burright will pilot Jimmy while Jim Fleming drives Larry Grattan. Other starters include Merry Copper, Roger Stone, Shangri La Audrey, Margaret Mitchell, and The Counselor.
