Aunt Jinny, Ruth Lily and Sickles Image Top 1 Nominees for Cleopatra Stakes Kilroe Announces Weights * For Myrtlewood; Coaltown, Roman Bath Each Get 126 The six-furlohg Cleopatra Stakes, 5,-600-added for three-year-oid fillies, will hold /the mid-week spotlight at Arlington Park next Wednesday with a bevy of female champions and challengers ready to take the track. Racing secretary Frank E; Kilroe announced. 19 nominations for the Cleopatra, with the 1950 juvenile filly queen, Aunt Jinny, and the California three-year-old filly champion, Ruth Lily, heading up the list for an early showdown. Others of note among the nominees include Flyamanita, Shawnee Squaw and Sickles Image, the much-traveled Michigan thoroughbred. Duval Headleys Aunt Jinny, who began racing into prominence during the 1950 Washington Park meeting, finished up the year voted, "best two-year-old filly of 1950." She has been resting on her laurels, more or less, while the bantam-sized Ruth Lily was taking charge of the three-year-old filly division at Santa Anita and Hollywood Park. Ruth Lily got the nod in the 0,000 Santa Susana Stakes at Santa Anita when Sweet Talk picked up a deserved disquali- ► : — : = fication and was placed third. The Eiwood Johnston runner underscored her right to that victory by following up with a triumph in theuHollywood Oaks.
