Pirates Beat Braves, 9-4 For Dicksons Eighth Win PITTSBURGH, Pa., June 14 UP,— Murry Dickson scored his eighth victory and pitched his sixth complete game today to enable the Pittsburgh Pirates to hand the Boston Braves a -9 to 4 defeat before only 4,277 fans, one of the smallest in five years at Forbes Field. Dickson now has beaten every team in the league and has accounted for eight of the Pirates* total of 20 victories. The Pirates shelled Vern Bickford with a five-run fourth inning,* highlighted by Wally Westlakes two-run single. Westlake belted his 16th homer in the fifth off Bob Chipman and drove in four of the Bugs runs. The homer pushed him one ahead of teammate. Ralph Kiner. . Sid Gordon hit his tenth homer off Dickson in * the second inning to give the Braves a momentary, tie. Erv Dusak, who relieved Rocky Nelson in the fifth inning, became the seventh Pirate left fielder of the season.
