Rule Against Using Lights To End A. L. Sunday Games NEW YORK, N. Y., June 14 UP.— The American League announced today that beginning next Sunday no lights may be turned on for any Sunday game — for any reason. Games which are undecided when darkness forces a stoppage will be called and replayed at a1 later date. The American League officially informed the National League of its action. President W,iU Harridge of the American League saidt the change in policy was not caused by complaints following several "marathon" Sunday double-headers, whieh finished under the lights as late as 9:30 p. m., but "because of a general feeling among the owners that many Sunday programs were running too late."
