COUNTESS IN slipped through next to the inside ra;l to -assume the. lead on the final turn and held sway thereafter under intermittent urging. WAR TALK was unable to reach the leader when hard hustled through the stretch. CLEVELANDER came out for the drive, but was not good enough. MISS HIGHBROW drifted out slightly on the near turn and tired thereafter. EAGLE RIVER had no apparent excuse. DARK TINY quit. B0LING0VER saved ground to no avail. JOSIE in the final stride. The latter reached the lead between horses during the drive, then held on tenaciously. MRS. VALENTI held a slight lead nearing the furlong markr, tired during the jate stages and could not hold the top ones. PATMIBOY attempted to bear to the inside during the stretch run, then weakened slightly when placed to punishment. LEONIE GIRL tired. SUDDEN SCARE had no mishap.
