"H. Crawford; bred by Mor-ven Stud. WENT TO POST 5:54. OFF AT 5:541 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. DANS CHANCE went to the front after the break, opened up a commanding lead on the backstretch, then gamely withstood the final drive of VINITA ED through the last furlong while drifting out. A claim of foul was lodged against the winner, but was disallowed. VINITA ED gradually improved position on the outside and closed strongly in the drive. MIGHTY SON, a forward factor throughout, had no excuse. FLYING BOOTS, well up early, tired in the final sages. FIRST WHIRL had brief speed. M CORK and LIFTER were both outrun.
