Edgar Says No Basis of Truth To Any Criticism of Kenney DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., May 30. Walter A. Edgar, president of the Maryland Horse Breeders Association, was present here on opening day to witness the race of his Jack the Great in the Wilmington Handicap, and made the following statement relative to Charles A. Kenney, who served as judge at the Pimlico yearling show on May 15: "In the last day or two while at Bel Air and Delaware, I have become aware of the fact that many per-sons interpreted Larry MacPhails letter of resignation from the Maryland Horse Breeders to imply that officers and members of the organization were critical of Kenneys actions as judge of the show. I wish to publicly state ,on behalf of the board of directors and myself that there is no basis of truth in this thought. Mr. Kenney did a thorough, painstaking, honest and sincere job at Pimlico. His written comments on each entry were of great value, particularly in the cases of some of the smaller breeders. Our organization is deeply grateful for Mr. Kenneys help and regrets extremely that he should have, been put in an invidious position in this matter. Any remarks made by a director of the organization to Mr. MacPhail were not intended in any way to convey dissatisfaction with Mr. Kenney."
