The latter held sway to the stretch under steady rating, then held on tenaciously. STATIC CHASER was unable to improve his position during the late stages. ISLAM TORCH rallied too late to become an endangering factor. BOLDETTE was outrun. CASTLE OAK raced wide. D. QUEST quit. HADANCIL showed nothing. SPARKLING ANN, prominent from the beginning, was unable to withstand the winner when hard ridden through the late stages. BROWN TEDDY held sway to the stretch, then faltered. CURLEW was unable to improve her position when called upon for her best efforts. LADIES BADGE had no mishap. HALF GAINER failed to gain the lead and tired. RUSLEING SILK was always outrun.
