Sallee String at Delaware DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., May 30. J. P. "Price" Sallee, of Lexington, Ky., who has trained many a stakes horse, is at Delaware Park for the meeting opening tomorrow and says this is the first time in 17 years that he will have raced at an eastern track. He brought horses for several owners from Louisville, among them Thomas Piatts smart juvenile filly, Lillal, a candidate tor the Polly Drummond and Dover Stakes, and Stagestruck, a Delaware Oaks hopeful. Sallee, who also has horses owned by Charlton Clay and F. W. Stewart, said in racing secretary Gil Haus office that "its awfully nice to be back east after all these years."
