White Sox Beat Cleveland On Minosds Homer, 7 to 2 CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 30 CUP .Minnie Minoso returned to the White So line-up today after an absence of 12 day; and crashed his fourth homer of the seasor in the seventh inning to defeat the Cleveland Indians in the first game of a double-header, 7 to 2. Injured on May 18, Minoso had managec to play only one inning since then, but hi went the route today and hit his home with two men on against Early Wynn. Th Sox added a run in the eighth o Shern Lollars fourth homer of the campaign, an another in the ninth. Billy Pierce achieved his fifth victory o the season with a five-hitter and it wa Wynns fourth loss. Rodriguez walked and Pierce beat out a: infield hit in the big seventh. Nelson Fo: drove in the tying run with a single an Minnie then smashed his homer over th left field fence.
