Won driving; second and third the -same. VICTORY BLUE had speed from the start, moved up on the outside of the leaders on the stretch turn; challenged for the lead all through the last furlong, just got up to finish in a dead-heat with YDEAR. The latter took a short lead while saving ground soon after the start, set all the pace, and held on gamely under hard urging to finish on even terms with VICTORY BLUE. SEA SWEET, always in contention, closed strongly while saving ground rounding the stretch turn, then hung slightly in the final furlong. VESUVIO closed fast while between horses in the last quarter after a slow start. BLUE. GREENOCK tired after a game effort to the last quarter. SOUR PUSS, slow to settle into best stride, closed fast between horses after reaching the last quarter and was going strongly at the end. DOROTHY P. forced the pace for the first quarter, then raced slightly wide, but held on gamely under-urging in the final furlong. JUST STOP closed gamely while on the far outside in the last quarter: MERRY ENGLAND closed some ground while on the inside in the stretch. BOSSY SIS tired after showing good speed to the-stretch. The latter, a forward factor from the start, closed fast between the leaders entering the stretch, took a short lead after reaching the last furlong, then gave way when the winner challenged in the final sixteenth. MISS OZAN, slow to settle into stride, closed fast between horses in the last quarter. TREETOP took the lead in the first few yards, set the pace to the stretch, then weakened.
