May Change Epsom Derby Date LONDON, England, May 30 Reuters . Next year the Epsom Derby may be run on a Saturday and the Jockey Club stewards are exepected to revise the date from Wednesday, June 3 to Saturday, June 6. The change is contemplated because the Derby is fixed for Coronation week and I with the Coronation on June 2 it would be impossible to run the race the following day.
