BALAN, never far back, was unable to make up ground in the stretch while bearing in and wore down WAVESAB in the final stride. The latter went up on the outside rounding the far turn to reach a clear lead and gave way suddenly in the late stages. LES ABEILLES dwelt at the start, went through on the inside to reach a forward position and lacked- a closing rally. BEST PUNCH swung out sharply leaving the turnand tired. CHEERMEUP was used up vying for the lead. BAY STAR was bumped when BEST PUNCH went wide. INTAGLIO bore out on the turn. CISQUA quit after dueling for the lead early. RISKING was through early. ALARUM "was"-with the first flight from the break, came around horses when making her bid and wore down FUTAROUND. The latter saved ground while a sharp factor, went slightly wide leaving the turn when taking command, held on well and Just failed. ANUKITA was forwardly placed between horses and had a rough trip. YOUNG ROMANCE forced her way up between horses and lacked a closing rally. AYEM tired, as did ELLENS LISA. SLINKY ran out on the turn. FEINT was placed under light restraint when outrun for command, came again in the stretch to dispose of APACHE TRAIL and held. HIGH- -BINDER safe under mild urging. The latter, within striking distance from the beginning, loomed a threat in the stretch and could not menace the top one. APACHE TRAIL weakened after setting the pace until mid-stretch. The latter was closest to the pace throughout, went up to challenge in the stretch and missed in a commendable effort COUNT CAIN, steadied along on the outside early, saved ground on the turn and closed willingly. HADASSAH, within striking distance under rating, was called upon when straightened for the drive, went through on the inside of the leader and got up in the late stages. OUR DORIE shook off DUSTY DARLIN while drifting out in the stretch and faltered while continuing to drift out in the drive. LANCASTER LADY lunged at the start, found room on the rail to improve position and closed with good courage. DUSTY DARLIN pressed the pace until nearing the furlong post and weakened. The latter went into a commanding lead before a quarter mile, drifted to the middle of the track in. the stretch and gave way. HIGH BRACKET was through after six furlongs. WINGING ALONG was forced to race slightly wide on the first turn, took command when straightened on the backstretch, drew into a clear advantage and maintained it under pressure until reaching the wire. CEREMONIOUS was in close attendance of The pace throughout and held on gamely, but was not good enough. NOBLE SUN could not match strides for command after a quarter mile, went well to the stretch and faltered. HARLEM MAID was always within striking distance and failed to respond for the drive. The latter dueled for command from the beginning and had nothing left for the drive. FLYING BOOTS caught tired horses with a belated bid. FIRST WHIRL bore out through the stretch when tiring.
