Delaware Notes DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 27. Italian Summer, who won recently for Mrs. Esther duPont Weir, has been sold at private terms to Mrs. T. W. Forbes. The conditioning will be handled by Johnny Forbes. George D. Wideners Pomposity, following an unsuccessful local engagement, has been shipped to Erdenheim Farm for a brief period of freshening. Old Point, who races for Walter M. Jeffords, has been placed on the shelf for a while and will be x-rayed for possible bone fractures, sustained in a trial yesterday morning. Trainer Danny Shea has decided vto divide his local stable at the conclusion of the current meeting. One. group of horses will be sent to Danny, Jr., at Monmouth Park, while the others will be campaigned at Randall Park. Augustine Catalano will leave here the end of the week for Saratoga, where he will do the riding for the Henry Clark-trained string. Catalano will then accompany Clark to Narragansett Park. Friends of former trainer John D. McCue are requested to drop him a line at the Fort Howard Hospital, Fort Howard, Md., .where he is confined. Following the fourth Montchanin" Handicap running, Bimfort and I Trust are tied in the point standing with 27 each, while Benhadar, Windy and Monte have each garnered 24 points. Hampton Roads and Beaupre, the only horses in the Ray Woolfe barn to escape the recent Belmont Park fire-having been shipped to this point for engagements, have been returned to the Elmont course. C. L. Ostrikers Diamond Head, who competed unsuccessfully in Wednesdays fourth Montchanin Handicap, was returned to Aqueduct this morning. Mrs. B. O. Gardners V. P. I. Clef bowed in a recent outing and has been transferred to the Monkton, Md., farm of Mrs. Jay Secor.
