Lights Up to Be Shipped Here For Mid-Summer Campaign HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 27. C. H. Jones and Sons Lights Up, one of the Wests most talented handicap horses, will not race again at Hollywood Park this summer. Trainer Hack Ross said that has not been able to train the horse properly since the Westchester Handicap, out of which he emerged slightly lame. Lights Up has recovered from his mishap, but he will not; have time now to be prepared for the American Handicap or the Hollywood Gold Cup. Present plans, according to Ross, are for the horse to go to .Chicago for a mid-summer campaign. Lights Up was the star pf the Golden Gate Fields season, where he won the San Franciscan Handicap, the Golden Gate Mile and the Golden Gate Handicap. In the latter event he beat Intent a nose.
