Pirates Add Young Hurler PITTSBURGH, Pa., June 27 UP. The Pittsburgh. Pirates added a school-boy pitching prospect to .their farm system today with the signing of Kenneth Southard, Hartland, Me., for the Brunswick, Ga., team in the Class D. Georgia-Florida League. Southard, 19, climaxed an impressive record at Hartland High School this spring by striking- out 51 men in three games during- tournament play. He throws righthanded and bats left.
