BOLO RUNAWAY was smartly rated close to the pace and responded gamely when set down to take command for the finish. HANKIE had to be briskly urged to .secure the lead, drew clear entering the stretch, but faltered in the last stages. SAILORS CHOICE saved considerable ground and loomed boldly rushing to the leaders on the final turn, then hung despite intermittent punishment. ERRARD BEAU was a keen contender and weakened. CREW-CUT was sluggish early and circled wide for the drive. TITANS MATCH could not reach the front when urged and faltered. COYOTE was in close quarters at the far turn. FLYING WEATHER was off the pace while racing on the outside; closed strongly when set down for the stretch run and wore down CURTAIN TIME in the final yards. CURTAIN TIME contended for the pace between horses, opened a clear lead in the stretch, but suddenly weakened near the end. GREAT WHIRL raced within striking distance and finished well on the inside under strong punishment. EMERGENCY HOUR raced in spots while a forward factor and lacked a rally. DARK PIGEON was outrun. CORINTH quit. MONMOUTH broke in the air and dropped back at once. JOYCE GOBER BECAME FRACTIOUS IN THE PADDOCK AND WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN. HER CHANCE broke fast, raced nght with the pace and shook off contention rounding into the stretch, then was ridden out to hold SLAM THRU safe. SLAM THRU was rushed to reach contention, then drifted very wide while closing strongly in the final run. MISS SHADOW, a keen factor, was raced into defeat by the winner after three furlongs and weakened. FIGHTING HARP saved ground and finished well. PUSSY CAT was outrun and was always between horses. STAR SHOOTER was shuffled about in the run to the first turn, but forced passage and raced to the pace under pressure, wrested command from LIONS SHARE.after a half mile, then was under a prolonged drive to draw clear and was all out at the end. PHOSPHOR was prominently placed, appeared through coming to the stretch, but held on well enough to stay with his tiring rivals. LIONS SHARE went to the front early, wasr lightly restrained when displaced by the winner, made a mild bid when urged for the drive, but had nothing left for the; last stages. SPERANZO could not keep up early, came to the outside for the drive and rallied only mildly. CALICO CAT was not a menace EVEN RISK showed nothing. Overweight Game Dame, 1 pound. PETERSEN was steadied rounding the first turn when unable to reach the front, smoothly moved up to take command after reaching the backstretch and held on resolutely in the stretch drive to withstand a prolonged challenge from HARANGUE. The latter was rated while well placed, closed fast on the final turn ariti loomed menacingly entering the stretch, but lugged in when punished, swerved when straightened and hung. SADDLE TRAMP saved ground whilroutrun, came to the outside making up ground after five furlongs and could not catch the top pair. COBBER was outrun. BOBS ALIBI and CONTY BAY quit. RETROUVE was hustled into a long lead at once, set a rapid early pace and was exhausted at the end. ISASMOOTHIE could not keep up early, rallied under punishment from the head of the stretch and finished well. WHITE CLIFF saved ground, but could not get up. DINNER WINNER began slowly. SWEET "FREEDOM easily widened on the field at the beginning, set the pace under light rating and appeared short for the effort, tiring in the drive. AUNT JANE began sluggishly, saved ground and closed a big gap. SUPREME was urged after a half mile, but could not menace and weakened. SWIFT SIRTE vas outrun. MARTHA PAULA tired.
