Norman Kennedy Dies AQUEDUCT, L. I., N. Y., June 27. Norman Kennedy, 55, a supervisor in the mu-tuel department since 1940, passed away yesterday after a -lingering illness. The Robert F. Mangel Post 1781 of the American Legion ivill conduct funeral services at 7 p. m. on Sunday at the Cooke Funeral Parlor, Hillside Ave. and 150th St., Jamaica, after which the remains will be sent to Saratoga for burial. Kennedy, after a youth spent riding for S. C. Hildreth and others went to Europe and rode at all the important tracks on the continent. He returned here to ride steeplechasers. He rode Falmouth to victory in the Meadow Brooks of 1917; the Brook in the International of 1918, and Dan IV. in the Grand National of 1924. When the New York Turf Writers Association put up a trophy for an old-time riders race at Belmont Park, Kennedy carried it off.
