Switzerland Wont Welcome American Ice Hockey Team BASLE, Switzerland, June 27 UP. United States ice hockey players will not be Welcome in Switzerland next winter the Swiss Ice Hockey Association let it be known yesterday. In a meeting of the central committee of the Swiss Ice Hockey Association yesterday, officials expressed regret at the "very disappointing- behaviour" of the U.S. team which visited Switzerland last winter and then went on to Helsinki to win runner-up honors in the Olympic tournament. They decided not to help organize the European team of the U.S. amateur squad and announced there will be "no games between the American team and Swiss teams" next winter. - However, the Swiss decided to admit an American team to the world championships to be held here next year- The Americans, who have a different style of playing ice hockey than the Europeans, were called "gangsters" by Swiss reporters who failed to grasp the idea of American ice hockey as demonstrated here and in Oslo. During a series of "friendly" matches involving the American team in Switzerland last winter, there were free-for-alls between players and fans on various occasions."
