Toboggan Toboggan at at Belmont Belmont Tests Tests Thirteen; Thirteen; Hasty Hasty House House Duo Duo Seeks Seeks New New Albany Albany Inseparable Heads Downs7 Mile Event Royal Mustang, Sunny Dale, Jet Ace Nicely Weighted in Handicap for Close Finish By DON FAIR Staff Correspondent CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 5. — Hasty House Farms Inseparable and Seaward head a field of eight high class thoroughbreds slated to meet here tomorrow afternoon in the New Albany Handicap. Inseparable, a gelded son of Unbreakable and Fair day, will shoulder 116 pounds in the one mile mid-week feature, while his stablemate. Seaward, a Pilate-sired gelding, gets in with 115 pounds. Harry Trotsek, trainer for the Ohio-owned Hasty House Farm establishment, stated this morning that jockey Red Howell will have the mount on one of his charges. Seaward, a good stakes winner, finished third this spring behind Pet Bully and Hill Gail in the Phoenix Handicap at Keeneland, but he was beaten off here in the Brown Hotel Handicap. It must be remembered though that he was good enough to post victories in the 1952 renewals of the historic Clark Handicap, Ben Ali, and Lincoln Handicaps, picking up earnings of 5,855 for the season. 1952 Chicago Handicap Winner Inseparables best performance last year was his well-deserved conquest in the Chicago Handicap at Hawthorne, the Hasty House Farm star whirled that eight furlongs in a sparkling 1:35 Vs. In his most recent appearance under silks, he met defeat by a three-quarters length margin in the Fort Springs Handicap at Keeneland, bowing to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Daniels Jet Ace, who will start in the New Albany, pegged at 106 pounds. The renewal of the Inseparable-Jet Ace duel was the subject of much shedrow conversation this morning. While the Hasty House pair and Jet Ace rate highly, several others in the New Albany overnight field hold royal chances for victory. Sam E. Wilson. Jr.s Royal Mustang, second to Count Turf in the 1951 Kentucky Derby, and Buddah Stables Sunny Dale, each pegged at 113 pounds, are quite dangerous at the weights. Mrs. J. P. Keezeks Abbe Sting, 108, Thomas F. Devereux Gay Hunter, 107, and Dennis J. Gleesons Chombro, 100 pounds, also are expected to answer "boots and saddles" for the Wednesday headliner. Royal Mustang, five-year-old Easy Mon-sired stallion, recently beat a quick band in the seven furlongs Lanark Purse at the Downs, stepping along in 1:24% under a Continued on Page Forty-One Hasty House Farm Duo Seeks New Albany Handicap Today Continued from Page One steadying 118 pounds burden. His effort in the Lanark led seasoned observer to believe that the Texas-owned Wilson star is regaining the form which earned him major honors in Arlington Parks Stars and Stripes Handicap last Independence Day. Sunny Dale, a handsome chestnut daughter of Eighty Thirty and Sun Mica, will make her local seasonal debut in the New Albany. Partial to the middle distances, the Buddah Stable mainstay shipped here after earning three Florida engagements. She scored decisively in the mile and one-sixteenth Suwannee Handicap, was narrowly beaten by Atalanta in the Black Helen, won the Columbiana Handicap and easily trimmed six speedy rivals in the Crandon Park Purse. Kenneth Church, who handled Sunny Dale in her winning races, again will be at the reins tomorrow, according to word from trainer Dwight Denham. Racing secretary - handicapper Lincoln Plaut programmed some good supporting events, the best of which is the Hermitage Purse at six and one-half furlongs for three-year-olds. Breakers, Actuate, and Mile. Lorette appear well placed in the secondary offering and they are expected to receive the most support over such rivals as Alie-Ed. Davelle, Guy, Le Coq Hardi, Barshoe, and Good Times.
