I Crafty Admiral TopL Weight in Dixie Given 126 to 120 for Both Oil Capitol, Royal Vale in | Saturdays Pimlico Stake PIMLICO, Baltimore. Md., May 5.— Char- fran Stables Crafty Admiral has again re- £ ceived the dubious honor of having been 2 assigned top weight for a stakes event, this C time in the 5,000 added Dixie Handicap, -, for which racing secretary J. Fred Colwill C has asked him to accept a 126-pound im- * post. The week-end attraction, which is r designed for three-year-olds and upward and has been reduced in distance this year J* to a mile and one furlong, has attracted a c group of 37 nominees. Following Crafty Admiral in the weights " released today there is a drop of six pounds C down to Mrs. Esther duPont Weirs Royal J Vale and Hasty House Farms Oil Capitol, ■ each of whom has been asked to handle 120 3 pounds. The last named gray seems doubt- J ful at this time, but Royal Vale may accept -the issue, in view of his recent clever sue- c cesses in the Bowie and Gallant Fox Handicaps in recent weeks. C 1 Alerted Given 119 c Next in line under 119 pounds is the 1952 Dixie winner, Alerted, who races for Frank Stouts Hampton Stable. This durable Calumet-bred has been progressing steadily of late and trainer Ray De Stefano has already signified his intentions of shipping to his point for the engagement. De Stefano has even gone so far as to engage the saddle services of Rocco Sisto, who rode Alerted to victory last season. Should Alerted prove successful, he would emulate the feat of the great Sarazen, that of winning the Dixie in consecutive years. Grouped in the 118-pound bracket are Alfred G. Vanderbilts First Glance and King Ranchs To Market. The latter has not raced this season and must be regarded as doubtful, but First Glance probably will ceep his engagement. Vanderbilt won the Dixie in 1950 with Loser Weeper. The midweek program in the meantime offers co-features in the five and one-half furlong Reisterstown and the mile and one-sixteenth Ruxton, each of which carries a purse of ,000. Th Reisterstown has attracted Just Sidney, Uncle Ev, Isle of Bond, Country Gossip, My Pastime and Skin Junior, with the last two scheduled to race as an entry. The Ruxton will be contested by Laran, Seer, Bessies Beau, Outback, Aware, Marked Game, Mondaval and Level Sands. The complete list of weights for the Dixie Handicap follows: Horse. Wt. Horse. Wt.
