LITTLE XS went to the front at once and. although headed by BURG LADY nearing the stretch turn, continued well while the latter was racing wide and again took command near the end. BURG LADY was close up early, but raced wide on the stretch turn after getting to the front and faltered near the finish. WOOD H raced well up and saved ground. PAPA BEAR went evenly. OBTAIN moved fast on the outside of several horses nearing the far turn and, drawing out on the stretch turn, increased his advantage in the stretch. HIGH MIO improved his position gradually to finish strongly between horses. SAMS BRIDE was never too far from the pace, but raced wide in the stretch. GALLANT TUCK was a strong contender to the stretch and then weakened. INACCESSIBLE lacked speed while racing on the inside and. being badly outrun, came fairly well when too late. ROUGH N READY improved his position gradually to be easily best of the others. PAJARA closed some ground. DARK PIGEON dropped out of it early and was going well at the end. CHEROKEE PILOT was close to PRETTY CINDY while the latter was making the pace and taking command after going half the distance, drew away under urging in the last furlong. BARBARA L. raced well up from the start and had little trouble holding second place safe. STRONG ADVANCE made up much ground and was racing gamely at the end. Ml AMANTE made a mild move nearing the stretch turn and weakened in the final drive. PRETTY CINDY tired after being headed. AMERICAN PLAN went to the front at once and cut out a good pace to the stretch and then began to weaken. XALAPA PRIDE raced steadily throughout but failed to threaten for the leadership. MASTER RED sprinted to the front soon after the start and was well rated while making the pace and had enough left at the end to hold DINK. The latter was never too far away and moving around the outside in the stretch, staged a steady finish to be pressing the winner. ON TRAIN was outrun to the stretch, and then came strongly to best POSSESS. The latter saved ground in the early stages but tired. RED COMET had some early speed. The others failed to threaten. UGLY CHILE drew away from the field soon after the start and, meeting with virtually no opposition, increased his advantage as he pleased to finish far in front and just galloping. NITRO FIRE was always closest to the leader, made a mild attempt to catch him after going a half and, although not good enough, was never menaced for second place. COPPER PLATE was going fairly well at the end. ROSAMUNDA II. plodded along at an even gait throughout. TAX LIEN dropped back to last place early and was badly outrun ail the way. RUSTUM was saved close to the pace of LIGHTED CANDLE for about five furlongs, then moved to take a short lead between calls, but was again headed by LIGHTED CANDLE nearing the far turn. He forged to the front again nearing the stretch turn, but was doing his best at the end to hold LEINAD. The latter bettered his position steadily to finish with good courage and was pressing the winner. HIS IMAGE lost ground on the stretch turn, but was going well at the end. LIGHTED CANDLE tired.
