Anagazandra Vies With PoisedValleyatAscotPark Former Will Be Seeking Third Straight; Carters Pride Threat ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Palls, Ohio, May 5. — The Ascot Test, at four and a half furlongs, headlines the nine-race program to be presented here tomorrow afternoon. The race has drawn a field of seven of which two, Anagazandra and Poised Valley, have earned brackets at this meeting. The two winners are slated to meet Vetch, Carters Pride, Sundobullea, Brass Hat, and Roaming Oscar. Anagazandra will be seeking her third straight victory and appears in a good spot to extend her streak. Her last race was excellent when she turned back Grand One by three lengths going six and a half furlongs. In her first winning essay over the track she defeated Jambon Jones by a daylight margin after leading throughout. She will once again be ridden by jockey Del Jessop. Poised Valley won her only start over the track with jockey Eddie Plesa aboard. Defeating Madrid Cue by two lengths. That was her first start of the year for the homebred daughter of Equistone, who was injured last summer at Wheeling Downs. If she runs back to her winning race of 10 days agb she will make it tough on Anagazandra. Carters Pride, winner of the Ohio Derby last year at Cranwood, will be making her first start at Ascot Park. She is expected to improve over her earlier races this year at Oaklawn Park. Of the others who have been entered it would appear as though E. F. Lovelaces Roaming Oscar would be given the best chance of an upset. Roaming Oscar has always been a danger in a sprint.
