HY FRONT took command at once, raced WISE BILLING into defeat before entering the stretch, then continued gamely under urging and held ETRURIA safe. The latter, outrun to the stretch, saved ground at the final turn and closed strongly but could not overtake the winner. TRIP NORTH gave a good effort and had no mishap. TRIP LADY was unable to reach the leaders when set down through the stretch. MISS MIDNIGHT crowded her field after the start then raced well. SOME GO raced wide. WISE BILLING forced HY FRONTS pace to the stretch, but had nothing left for the drive. PREFER DAN disliked the track. KAREN L. failed to stay after showing early speed. ETERNAL SHOCK, alertly ridden after the break to secure a good position, was sent to the middle of the track for the stretch run and, disposing of FANCY REWARD, then held FAST TRAFFIC safe. FAST TRAFFIC, outrun to the last quarter mile, closed strongly when set down in the drive, but could not get to the top one. ADRIANA T. gave a good effort and had no excuse. FANCY REWARD assumed the lead at the start, set the pace until inside the stretch, then faltered when challenged by ETERNAL SHOCK. JANES PRIDE lacked early speed, but finished fast. RESCISSION took an early lead, set the pace to the stretch, then bore out badly and lost all chance. JUNIORS ACE took command at once, made the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, then gamely withstood a long drive to hold IRMAS JIM and ROYAL LEADER safe. IRMAS JIM, in hand to the half-mile pole, moved up boldly approaching the stretch, drifted out for the drive and then closed strongly, but could not overtake the winner, just missing. ROYAL LEADER saved ground from the beginning, closed resolutely and had no mishap. MYRMIDON lacked early speed. DIAMOND MORAN raced well to the stretch, but bore out badly when set down for the drive. ALPHAS CHOICE failed to stay after showing early foot. HOOS ABBE refused to break with the field when the start was effected.
