Fleming Taking Rice Division West for Hollywood Campaign GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 5.— Trainer Thomas P. Fleming will take a shipment of nine horses belonging to Mrs. Ada L. Rice to Hollywood Park, leaving here by.rail on Wednesday evening and scheduled to arrive at Inglewood, Calif., on Saturday. En route he will stop off at Chicago to pick up Pet Bully and Model Request, who are being sent to him by trainer Howard Hoffman from Kentucky. Pet Bully is nominated to the 5,000 added Premiere Handicap and, if he ships well,! will start in the six-furlong inaugural feature on Tuesday, May 12. It will be the first visit for Fleming to Hollywood Park since he won the Hollywood Gold Cup with Brolite Farms Challenge Me in 1945. Howard Hoffman, directing the main division of Mrs. Rices stable, will ship in from Kentucky on Friday with the filly Cerise Reine, who recently finished second to Bubbley in the Kentucky Oaks. He will take over the remaining horses here and direct a stable of 18 head.
