Stallion Maurepas Dead PARIS, France May 5 Reuters. — Viscountess Vigiers Maurepas, one of Frances best stallions, died today at Lessard Le Chene Stud in Normandy after a heart attack. Maurepas, by Petelstan, out of Bro-celiande, was 16 years old. Among the many good winners he sired was Camaree, winner of the 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket in 1950.
