The latter opened a clear lead soon after the start, saved ground on the turns and was not good enough in th Final drive. TONYS TROUBLE improved position through the final quarter. SAFE AT HOME was allowed to settle into best stride, noved along rapidly from the outside on the turns and, after wresting command in the early stretch, easily drew :lear. CUBIST could not gain sufficient racing room in the first quarter, raced as a team with ETHEL STONE nto the stretch and then, after being displaced by SAFE AT HOME, outfinished ETHEL STONE. The latter was orwardly placed from the outset and then faltered. HALF BAR raced evenly. BELLE WATLING showed little while on the outside of horses. BNAI BRITH quit. Scratched 082663 Miss Swing, 113.
