E Z EYE was close up early while racing well out from the rail, and easily taking command in the stretch, drew away. MR. NEAL was outpaced to the stretch, then came with good courage in the middle of the track. AIR BATTLE seemed to have difficulty handling the going, but was too good for the others. LITTLE BURDEN went in fairly even fashion. CLAIRBEAU had early v speed but tired. DANDY RISH made up some ground on the inside in the stretchy Overweight Melody Fair, 5 pounds. MISS J. headed HAPS REWARD when ready, and opening up a good advantage after entering the stretch, was not seriously threatened thereafter. FEATHER-TOUCH was never too far avay and went evenly to the end. BABS BOY improved his position steadily and was racing fairly well at the finish. FLEET REWARD was wide in the early stages and failed to threaten. HAPS REWARD tired. MAMBO was badly outrun. BITTIE DOONS stumbled early and dropped out of it. KING SHANNON was always close up and, continuing on the inside through the stretch, headed the field in the last fifty yards to win going away. IMPERIAL ACE was saved slightly after getting a place .close to NEXT OPTION in the early running, then headed the latter about a sixteenth out, but was not good enough for the winner. TRACK GENERAL, outrun early, was going fairly well at the end. NEXT OPTION showed good speed to midstretch, then bore out slightly and tired badly near the end. GEMERICA was outrun early and, apparently disliking the going, swerved badly in the stretch. PORTAGE BOY had early speed. PHIL QUAGLINO was in close quarters next to the rail right after the start. BULL HIEROCLES passed ROYAL CHARGE when ready after going a quarter, raced as if much the best and drew out as his rider pleased in the stretch to finish far in front. DEEP MARGIE plodded along steadily in the stretch and was too good for ROYAL CHARGE in the final drive. ROYAL CHARGE had some speed, but weakened in the stretch. SECO GIRL was badly outrun. SOOCRU closed with good courage and was gaining but failed to threaten. BIGTIME GAL was not too far away early but was unable to improve her position. SPITFIRE TIME saved ground in the stretch to finish fairly well. GERRY FRANK was close enough early but lost his chance by going very wide on the stretch turn. RUSTUM tired. WISEVIEW was some distance back of the pace for the first seven furlongs, then moved steadily on the outside to wear down SECRET IMPULSE in the stretch and best him in the final drive. SECRET IMPULSE headed WRACK PLAY when ready nearing the stretch turn to draw out, then held on fairly well when challenged. LA SABRA made up some ground in the stretch.
