MARSTON MOOR, away in the first flight, assumed a slight lead nearing the furlong marker and in a long drive held PRODUCTIVE safe. The latter, a sharp factor from the beginning, was unable to overtake the winner when hard hustled through the final furlong. JERLOU moved up menacingly entering the stretch, but failed to sufficiently respond when the real test came. FUSION BOMB lacked the necessary rally. MEDICO faltered when subjected to brisk urging. TAX FREE and BATTLE-WORN both tired. MONTAUK was unable to keep up. ALABAMA PRINCE and DESERT WIND II. had no mishaps. PITLOCHRY and MIGHTY TURF were outrun. CROSSED SWORDS and KING GAVIN lacked speed. RUSSET ORANGE and VALTIST never were dangerous. YOUNG GANDER and the others never were prominent. SECOND RACE 6 FURLONGS. GUSTO went to the front immediately after the start, held sway to the stretch while racing on the complete outside and, continuing in the middle of the track for the drive, outlasted INTERVAL. The latter came fast after being straightened for the stretch run and gradually was getting to the leader. BENZEL moved up boldly on the outside leaving the final turn, but faltered when punished. FLAPPER came out for the drive, but was not good enough. NAVAL AFFAIRE rallied too belatedly to become an endangering factor. THE STRAW, mtch used early, had little left. MISS TEASE was unable to keep up. FIRST BALLOT failed to stay. COASTAL TRADE began sluggishly. GREAT GUY tired. OUBAAS and the others never threatened. LADY TIPTOE, in close quarters during the early running, closed with good courage when clear during the stretch run. FASHION PAGE retired steadily after flashingearly speed. TURF raced in closest pursuit of MASTER ACE for a half mile, disposed of that one thereafter when ready and steadily increased his advantage winning with something left. MASTER ACE gave way to the winner nearing the furlong marker, was unable to cope with the latter during the stretch run, but lasted to easily prevail over the others. FLAMBEAU made the pace to the stretch under steady rating and increased her advantage thereafter, winning with speed in reserve. IRON bUY hesitated slightly at tie start, steadily improved his position on the outside to gain prominence nearing the furlong marker, then tired as a result or his early efforts. PREFER DAN, much usedengaging for the early advantage, had little left. SENTIMENT, far back early, came out for the drive, but was not oood enough. PROCTOR was outrun. STRAND was unable to keep up.
