GOLD FLASH, forwardly placed from the start and partial to the muddy track, assumed command after entering the stretch and drew clear under brisk urging. RAY DON went to the front before going a quarter, engaged PADDY LANE to the stretch, but was unable to stay with the top one. SON AL raced on the outside for a half mile, then was unable to reach the leaders when set down through the stretch. PADDY LANE raced with RAY DON to the stretch, then faltered. EMPTY SEA lacked early foot, but finished fairly well in the middle of the track. ALPHAS CHOICE tired after racing well to the stretch. BULLY BUNTING was outrun. MR. SKEETER disliked the muddy track and bore to the , inside during the drive. IN FORM began sluggishly. MISS ZILT lacked racing room during the final furlong. RIDGE RUNNER was far back the entire trip. MIGHTY MOUSSE showed nothing. DISCHARGE, forwardly placed from the outset, settled in the stretch with a good lead after disposing of BLUE HIEROCLES, but was hard ridden thereafter to withstand GARALORTER. The latter raced evenly to the stretch, finished strongly under hard urging, but could not overtake the winner. CHIMAPHILA lacked early speed, drifted out at the stretch turn, but closed willingly when straightened up in thelrive. SHARP MISS lacked early foot, saved ground during the stretch run, but was unable to reach the leaders. BLUE HIEROCLES went to the front early, set the pace to the stretch, then gave way when challenged by DISCHARGE. SUSTAINED raced wide. CORNER GIRL began fast, raced prominently for a half mile, then weakened. BRO; BRANCH broke poorly, losing all chance. MR. RAINES raced wide. COALIE was through early. CARACAS KID. RANK DURING THE POST PARADE, UNSEATED HIS RIDER AND RAN OFF, WAS ORDERED WITHDRAWN, AND ALL STRAIGHT, PLACE AND SHOW WAGERS ON HIM WERE REFUNDED. The latter steadily worked forward, settled for the drive with a short advantage, then faltered, but lasted to dead-heat with POTTERAC for the place. GREAT ADMIRAL went to the front at once, set the pace to the stretch, then had nothing left for the drive. LILS GADGET had early speed, but failed to stay. GL0RAT showed nothing.
