Emery to Campaign 18 Head At ThistleDown Meeting THISTLEDOWN, Warrensville, Ohio, June 3. The thoroughbred colony at ThistleDown is about to be strengthened considerably by the arrival of the 18-horse public stable trained by Deverne Emery, for many years one of the leading trainers in the country and who just topped all the conditioners by saddling nine victors during the races at the Garden State meeting. Last year Emery saddled 52 winners who earned 40,869. , Emery is coming here directly from Garden State bringing contingents from the barns of Carolyn K Stable, J-. A. Linsky and Sylvester Rich. He will also train a few head who race in his own interests. It will be Emerys first stay at an Ohio track.
