HARBOURTON raced evenly to the stretch, was forced i the middle of the track for the drive and, closing strongly, wore down the leaders during the final furlong. REE LUNCH, never far back, bore out entering the stretch and bumped SHERIFF GROSCH, finished well when raightened up, but was disqualified for fouling and placed third. SHERIFF GROSCH, roughed during the jam msed by FREE LUNCH at the stretch-turn, closed strongly when clear. IN DEEP made a bold bid when sent the inside for the drive, then tired. BILLS HYGRO took an early lead, set the pace for a half mile, thenbore i the outside while tiring. WINNING began sluggishly. HI SUZANNE was unable to better her position when set down through the stretch. TAUNTING was never prominent and had no excuse. MR. G. could not keep up after, showing early speed.
