SUMBURA was allowed to settle into best stride, moved through an opening entering the stretch and responding to mild urging, drew clear after, disposing of BET HAPPY. The latter moved to the fore in the stretch turn and then flattened out. MAMA MAUDE improved her position in the latter stages, though never a serious threat to the top ones. WALLENE tired when the real racing began. FIDDLE AROUND lacked a rally. ST. ALLARD was always on the outside of horses. THE SINNER loomed a factor along the backstretch and then faltered. SASSY SHIRL, opened a clear lead soon after the start, but was no match for the winner. SWEET ORPHAN raced evenly for the most part. OUR HESPERA had speed in spots. FARMERS ANGEL tired. DOTTY REDBIRD raced evenly. MONTE ALTO was never a factor. TOLD BEFORE ducked in entering the stretch and lost her rider. ANOTHER CROSS opened a tremendous lead soon after the start, saved ground on the turns, drifted out some inside the furlong marker and had to be fully extended while tiring to hold TEENABEE. The latter was allowed to settle into best stride and then closed rapidly from the outside and was getting to the winner. MISS BARCLAY, well back most of the trip, closed full of run while on the outside. BUGLES DREAM had speed in spots. ALL SET raced evenly. MICHAEL T. W. tired; TIGER FLAME turned in a poor effort. MAHPLAY was within easy striking distance from the outset, loomed the most formidable a furlong out and then hung. HOBAD made the pace into the stretch and then weakened only slightly. BLENMINT closed willingly. CONSUS tired. JOFIELD was never a factor. RIGOR MORTIS showed little. GATYUP quit as usual.
