Chris Rogers, who is in Toronto to ride in the Queens Plate on Saturday, plans to be at Rockingham Paik on Monday to ride free lance during the remainder of the meeting. Trainer J. D. McCue has shipped 10 of his charges from Pimlico to Suffolk Downs. The East Boston track is handling the overflow of the local thoroughbred colony. Also arriving at Boston from the Maryland track were six head for J. J. Mick. Gerry Burke, a member of the official staff at Rockingham, was passing out the cigars Wednesday morning. His wife presented him with a son Tuesday morning at the Bon Secour Hospital in Bethuen, Mass. Eddie Carroll, president of Great Bar-rington, the peer of half-mile tracks on the Massachusetts circuit, was a Rock visitor. Harry Storn, publicity director at the upstate Massachusetts oval, accompanied Carroll. 1
