JOSEPH G. KOHOUT , Re-Elect Kohout to HBPA Post by Acclamation Named to Lead Central Division Again; Nominate Committeemen LINCOLN FIELDS, Crete. HI., June 10. Joseph G. Kohout was re-elected president of the Central division of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association by acclamation at a general membership meeting held here after the races last evening. The dinner meeting was one of the best attended locally and in addition to Kohouts re-election, nominations were received for the executive committee of the division. Nominated as owners on the board were Emil Denemark, Morris Ginsberg and Henry D. Maggio and all three are automatically elected as the HBPA bylaws call for a minimum of three owners and a maximum of five on the boards Nominated for the seven remaining positions on the committee from the owners-trainers or trainers group, were S. A. Alexander, John Beck, W. H. Bishop, R. B. Cameron, Elmer Kalensky, Paul Larvis, Joe Lombardo, Jake Lowenstein, Frank Nugent, John Oglesby, Bryant Ott, Joe Podesta, Harold Raines and Howard Wells. William J. McCormack, president of Lincoln Fields, flew in from New York to attend the meeting and after being introduced by President Kohout, who hailed the fine cooperative spirit of the Lincoln prexy, McCormack reviewed the splendid relationship between Lincoln Fields and the HBPA. McCormack singled out the good work that Kohout, secretary E. H. Mc-Mahon and the committee had accomplished the past year. Paul Serdar, chairman of the Illinois Racing BOard, and himself a horseman, spoke and in his remarks lauded the relationship between the racing board and J;he HBPA. "I talk to you tonight as a horseman and fellow member Of the HBPA," Serdar said as he" opened his talk. Harold Simmons, president of the Florida division of the HBPA and one of the organizations original founders, also made an interesting talk. Among others introduced at the dinner meeting were Miss Frances I. Polley, secretary-treasurer of Lincoln Fields; Peter J. OTtonnell, general manager of the Crete track; William A. Reagan and Teddy Cox, officials at Chicago tracks; Robert F. Carey, managing director of Hawthorne; William S. Miller, member of the Illinois Racing Board, and Chuck Miller, Hawthorne track superintendent.
