Ballydam in ThistleDown Attraction Imported Speedster Faces Fast Rivals Cajole, Yea Bama, Pinelet, Nickey W. Should Be Keen I Factors in Biddison Purse A By RONALD KRANCER Staff Correspondent- - . THISTLEDOWN, North Randall, Ohio, June 10. The Biddison Purse at five and one-half furlongs headlines a very attractive program here on Friday. The feature has drawn a limit field and figures to be1 one- of the fastest sprints of the entire meeting. t Accepting Fred Burtons conditions are Mrs. Mary Hunters entry of Cajole and Pinelet, the Frank E. Fitzgerald pair of Ballydam and Rockabye Mary, Mrs. Leo Wagners Nickey W., Samuel C. Dykes Yea Bama, T. Whatleys Aileens Pride, A. F.. Taylors Beach Admiral, Hilltop Stables Lord North, Mrs. R. Cramers Charley Foy, Mrs. V. L. Booroms Mrs.ACalabash, the Royal Manie Stables Hi Decker, Mrs. Mabel Burkes Pashpie, and Richard Fishers Country Gossip. Ballydan, an Irish import, has been working smartly over this track and appears ready for a good effort. He last won while at Tropical Park on December 28, when at this same distance he reached the wire two and one-half lengths to the good of Avion, being timed in 1:04, which is not too far from the track record. In the expert, eyes of Palmer Heagerty, Ballydan was an easy winner. Ballydan also won at Tropical on December 18, running six furlongs in 1:11, again being an easy win- ner. On that occasion Ignition was second to the fleet son of Ballyogan, who was brought to this country by Maurice Wexler. The Gentry-trained pair of Cajole and Pinelet both are well suited at this distance, and either one of the two could get to the wire first. Pinelet -won a stake "across, the street" last season and will be seeking her initial tally of the season. Cajole won several times last year in this area and will be going to the post for the initial time at the meeting. Both racers are owned by the Gates Mills sportswoman, Mrs. Mary Hunter. Hi Decker is an arrival from Wheeling Downs, and when this Unbreakable filly is in a running mood can make it tough on any, field in a sprint.
