Sixty-Eight Head Fetch 97,300 at Auction Woodvale Sells 18 for 94,500; Brother Tex Brings 8,000 Bid BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., June 10. The present healthy condition of the thoroughbred market was again evidenced at Belmont Park this morning when a large throng turned out for the second and last day of the two-day Fasig-Tipton sale and made it clear that they were not sightseeing when they shelled out 97,300 for 68 head, an average of ,313. The Woodvale Farm consignment of 18 head that started the session brought 94,500 for an average of 0,805. Leslie Combs II., acting as an agent, was the top bidder of the vendue, going to 8,000 to obtain the two-year-old colt, Brother Tex for an undisclosed client. Several of the thoroughbreds consigned by the Yolo Stable of Mr. and Mrs. John de Blois Wack brought excellent prices. Tops in this consignment was the 2,000 paid by !. C. Cummings for Tremere, a juvenile son of Alibhai Monogamy, by Beau Pere. Peter Fuller went to 8,500, to obtain Michikee, a three-year-old daughter of War Admiral, while Tom Waller, agent, paid 5,500 for Misdemeanour. This a three-year-old imported daughter of Court Martial, who was a stakes winner in England last year. Grandpaw Sells for 4,000 W. Goadby Loew paid 4,000 for Grand-paw, a two-year-old first foal by Sun Again from Alf oxie in the Yolo Stable consignment. Several of the offerings of Tinkham Veale H., also Drought substantial prices. John H. "Trader" Clark paid 2,000, for the Florida-bred five-year-old Marked Game, and 8,000 for the gelded juvenile, Galcibo, by China Bull from Star Galla, by Sir Gallahad HI. Humphrey S. Finney, acting as agent, paid 7,000 for the four-year-old Go A Bit, and 5,000 for the two-year-old Hidden Fortune. He is a winning son of Jacopo.
