Retire Alerted After Spa Meet WALKERS VILLE, Md., June 10. Hampton Stables stakes-winning Alerted will be retired to the stud after the Saratoga meeting this August and will make the 1955 season at the Glade Valley Farm here, it was announced today by Harry B. Marcus, owner of the breeding establishment. Alerted, a six-year-old son of Bull Lea, will be syndicated by owner Frank H. Stout for his stud career. It is planned to ship the horse down to the farm from New York this week, where he will be rested for his Saratoga campaign, following which he will be returned here. Two other stallions, The Pincher and Call Over, currently are standing at Glade Valley.
