FEARFUL ODDS, in hand to the stretch, was sent to the outside for the drive, closed strongly and wore down the leaders in the last sixteenth. BATTLE BOAT moved up fast approaching the stretch, reached the lead between calls during the drive, but was unable to withstand the Winner.- CHIMAPHILA went to the front early, set the pace until inside the stretch, then faltered. IF YOll VOTE gave a good effort and had no mishap. SURE TRY lacked early foot and raced wide entering the stretch FOREVER HI had no excuse. GARALORTER tired after showing early f cot. JET LIZZIE caught in close quarters and forced to take up immediately after the start, failed to recover. AIRWAY beqan fast, but failed to stay. IN FORM made a good bid nearing the stretch, then tired. GREY IRON shewed nothing. SHORT CABLE began fast, then bore out badly after the break and lost all chance. INNISFREE took command early, set the pace to the stretch while engaging BURGOO PLAY, then drifted out, forcing the latter and HARVEST TIME wide, closed strongly when straightened up and held STAG safe. The latter raced evenly to the stretch, swerved during the stretch run and could not overtake the top one. BULLY BUNTING gradually worked way forward to the stretch, suffered mild interference during the drive and could not reach the leaders. A foul claim by BULLY BUNTINGS rider against STAG was not allowed after the stewards checked the film patrol pictures. HARVEST TIME, never far back, was carried to the outside by INNISFREE entering the stretch and failed to recover after the ill racing luck. GALENA made a good bid in the early stretch, then weakened. BURGOO PLAY engaged INNISFREE to the stretch, was forced to the outside at the final turn, then tired. FINE FIDDLE had early speed. NORTH PENNANT could not keep up. SOME FRIEND appeared sore during the post parade and showed nothing in the running. WHAT A PEACH began sluggishly. MARY GODFREY began fast, set the pace until nearing the stretch, then faltered when challenged by TEACHERS TU. BUY BOOKIE gave a fair performance and had no excuse. ACE BOUT raced wide.
